PHIN NOIR
About This Coffee
Produced at the Duc Trong Mill in Vietnam’s Lam Dong province (elevation: 1,100–1,400m), this lot features Catimor varietals carefully washed and dried with an emphasis on clarity and depth. The terroir of Lam Dong - cooler climate, red basalt soil, and fog-laced mornings - encourages slow cherry maturation, leading to concentrated sugars and a smooth cup profile. Though Vietnam is often associated with robusta, this washed arabica showcases the region’s evolving potential. Expect dark fruit sweetness layered with fig, malt, and lingering complexity - especially when brewed in a traditional phin.
