JAHO COFFEE ROASTER
est. 2005
At Jaho, we’re grounded by a deep love for the close-knit bonds of family. Jaho is a family-run roastery and bakery that’s driven by the connections made with those who gather around our tables.
Founded by Anil Mezini, Jaho Coffee began as a single cafe in historic Salem, MA in 2005. Two decades later, Jaho has grown to 9 locations across the greater Boston area and Tokyo, Japan. While Jaho continues to grow, it still operates as an independent and family-owned company. The heart of the company remains the same: thoughtful coffee, crafted in-house, and served with soul.
Live Slow.
Coffee isn’t just a beverage at Jaho. It’s a moment of intentional pause, connection, and care.
Our slogan ‘Live Slow.’ comes from the shared philosophy and culture of slow living in Japan. Anil studied abroad in Japan and during his time there, he found that life’s most meaningful moments tend to unfold over simple, shared rituals like coffee.
Anil continues to incorporate this lifestyle through Jaho Coffee. From sourcing, roasting and brewing, Jaho believes that every cup has the power to bring people together. Guided by over 20 years of specialty coffee experience, Jaho’s approach blends global perspective and meticulous craft.
We roast all of our coffees at our main roastery and bakery at 130 Canal Street in Salem, MA.
